Accounting Certificates

Certificates are shorter than degrees and are a different kind of credential. They are listed here, on their own page, exactly as each school publishes them, and they are never counted in the degree listings, filters, comparisons or Best Colleges selections of this directory.

A certificate does not make anyone eligible to sit the CPA Exam or to become licensed; those requirements are set by each state board of accountancy. See the guide to accounting degrees and CPA requirements.

Looking for a degree instead? Start with the associate, bachelor's, master's or PhD pages.

Undergraduate certificates

Short sequences of college-level accounting courses, often at community colleges, taken with or without a degree.

Post-baccalaureate certificates

For applicants who already hold a bachelor's degree, as the school describes the entry requirement.
